AWS Setup

Connect Vectrix to your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Accounts.

Access required for setup:
AWS IAM permissions to create an IAM Role and IAM Policy
Automated Setup (Cloudformation Template)
Manual Setup
Automated Setup (Cloudformation Template)
Step 1: Launch Stack
Launch Stack during deployment
Within the deployment on Vectrix, click on the "Launch Stack" link to be taken to the AWS console to deploy the CloudFormation template. 

Note: The CloudFormation template creates a least privilege IAM Policy attached to an IAM Role. 
Step 2: Create Stack
AWS Console: Create stack
Click the checkbox "I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources." and the click "Create stack" on the bottom right. 
Step 3: Copy/Paste Output
Copy Role ARN
Paste Role ARN

Manual Setup
Step 1: Create IAM Role
Create IAM Role
Within the deployment on Vectrix, click "Create IAM Role"
Step 2: Configure Role
AWS Role Configuration
Copy the Account ID and External ID displayed within Vectrix (pictured in Step 1) and paste the values into the AWS Console then click "Next: Permissions" within AWS.
Step 3: Create Policy
Create Policy
Within the next page on AWS, click "Create Policy" to later attach to our new IAM Role. 
Step 4: Configure Policy
 Copy the policy from Vectrix (displayed in Step 1) and paste into the AWS Console then click "Review Policy"
Step 5: Review Policy
Please name the policy, add a description, and click "Create policy"
Step 6: Attach policy to Role
Go back to the Role creation (from step 2) and attach the newly created IAM policy and click "Next: Tags"
Step 7: Review Role
Set role name and role description and click "Create role"
Step 8: Copy/paste Role ARN
Copy Role ARN from AWS
Paste Role ARN into Vectrix
